Join A Beat Happening for the 9 Year Anniversary: Summer Frequencies Showcase on Sunday, June 21, 2026 from 3–7 PM at L’Atelier Yaffe, a Black-owned gallery and cafe located in East Portland. This free, all-ages event brings together Portland’s leading music curators and collectives—including A Beat Happening, Let Her Cook, The Thesis, Global Based, Hungry Hungry Hip Hop, Skratcher Portland, and DJ Klyph—for an afternoon celebrating the city’s independent music culture, community partnerships, and neighborhood creativity. Hosted by Luvjonez and Free Tillman, this showcase highlights BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists while featuring live performances, community partner tables, and multi-genre sounds spanning hip hop, dance, electronic, turntablism, and experimental music.
Community partner tables include Cordero Customs, Guilded Freelancer Collective, Finder Goods, EXT. 606 Recording Studio, and Friends of Noise.
